All systems could be pre-programmed with both fermentation and cell culture operating modes for total flexibility. Switching between modes automatically adjusts gas flow and speed ranges.

Choose your temperature control system (customized vessel on requests)

A single-wall vessel with electric heating pad and cold finger allows gentle heating and cooling with a maximumtemperature of 95 °C. A double-wall glass vessel with water circulation provides a perfect view to your cultureand maximum heat transfer for rapid temperature changes (heating and cooling) to 70 °C.

Gas control options include:

  • Automatic 4-gas mixing via solenoid valves.
  • Manual gas mixing via Rotameters.
  • Automatic gas flow control via Thermal Mass Flow Controller (TMFC)

1.Control

Gasing Sytems

  • Four different gassing systems are available.All provide individual flow rates and gas blending for each culture vessel.
  • The flow rates are adjustable via precision flow meter. Optional Thermal Mass Flow Controllers (MFC) are available for each flow path.
  • Microbial packages are supplied with integrated oxygen supplementation capability, either via solenoids valves or MFC.
  • Cell culture packages are supplied with integrated 4-gas mixing system for Air, O2, N2 and CO2 routed to Sparger outlet as well as an Air Overlay flow path.

Temperature control

  • A closed loop water thermostat system with recirculation pump and heat exchanger is used for cooling as well as alternatively electrical or steam heating.
  • The full-jacketed culture vessel features in precise temperature control with rapid heating and cooling rates.

Agitation

The high-performance agitation motor combines low-shear agitation for cell cultures with high-speed mixing for microbial high cell density cultivation. The motoris gear-free for quiet operation – even at high-speed ranges – and provides convenient handling due to the small size.

Culture vessel (customized vessel on requests)

Designed with over 20 years’ experience in up-scale and sterile design, we offer various culture vessels as per requirements and an aspect ratio (H:D) of 2:1 or 3:1. All aeration and exhaust lines are equipped with stainless steel filter housings and 0.2 μm grade sterile membrane filter cartridges. A high-efficiency exhaust condenser keeps evaporation to a minimum. The centrally located harvest valve ensure complete draining.
